Pair of Italian Sconces 20th Century Crystal Murano Glass Three-armed Wall-lights
Pair of Italian crystal sconces, with three clear Murano glass scrolling arms realized in twisted rigadin placed in a chromed metal frame covered with a font shaped crystal cover. This charming sconces comes from a private residence in Genoa and dates back to 1940 circa. Curved arms show the rigadin ritorto decoration, well-known to traditional glassmakers in Murano. Rigadin ritorto is a thin-twisted ribbing obtained by blowing a glass object inside an open die and twisting while still hot to produce rigadin ritorto or twisted ribbing. Candles are still the original wooden ones but without usual lattimo glass coating, therefore we have covered wooden candles with white painted metal tubes. Three curved arms ending with floral shaped crystal bobeiges decorated with prism pendants. In perfect condition, Italian working wiring for a maximum power of 180 watts, suitable for three E14 right bulbs. The crystal structure is surmounted by an obelisk. Please kindly note that the six pleated red silk lampshades are not included in price (for picture only)
