Annibale De Lotto The Crab Bite Large Bronze Seminude Young Boy Sculpture
Annibale De Lotto Large Bronze Fisher boy Sculpture, feature a semi nude young boy figure, a standing fisher boy getting bit by a crab on his foot holding up his right leg, observing the crab bite.
Standing on an oval naturalistic basement with the crab, signed on the back De lotto, by the Italian artist Annibale De Lotto (San Vito di Cadore 1877 – Venezia 1932).
Realized in the early 20th century, there are no foundry marks, it is in good age related condition and comes from a private Milanese collection.
The dark brown patina of this tall almost naked figure is absolutely gorgeous and the cast sculpture is finely detailed and refined, with beautiful twist movement of the bust and great plasticity.
This would look just absolutely beautiful in any setting, especially an entry way or living room. The maximum size from left hand up to right raised foot is 60 cm by 40 cm, whereas the oval basement measures 30 cm by 27.
An outstanding addition for any bronze collector.
