Antique Italian sofa from Sicily a Louis Philippe poplar sofa dating back to the last quarter of 19th century, with a dark lacquer serpentine back frame decorated with an elegant vegetal hand-carving with gilt roses centered by a shelled gilded profiles.

This antique settee comes from a private house in Milan has still a comfortable seating but shows signs and wear consistent with age and use. It is upholstered with distressed red velvet, with a tear as showed in closed-up picture. Padding is in overall fair age related condition.
