An antique sterling silver oil and vinegar cruet set, having a neoclassical style oval stand with hand-pierced and engraved flower and foliate decoration, with ring handle and a frame for two cut-glass cruet bottles probably later. Richly decorated with urn shaped vases, palmette, flower and acanthus leaf patterns.
It stands on four foliate and lion paw feet.
Hallmarked with Michelangelo head for the sterling silver title (950/000), the city mark related to the Guarantee Office of Paris from 1819-1838 and the unknown silver maker monogram HV
