Italian Mid-19th Century Marquetry Circular Centre Table from Rolo

Circular marquetry inlaid top raised on a baluster turned support resting on a tripod base with slightly curled feet. This Italian round walnut veneered center tabletop is decorated with parquetry, thin layers of walnut, maple, box, mahogany, cherry and fruitwood contrasting woods used to create inlays of geometric design; the side band is decorated too.
The base has delicate bands of parquetry inlaid into the turned center column and tripod parcel ebonized feet.
This table would make a great addition to a variety of settings with it’s balance of detailed complexity and elegant simplicity.
Of Italian origin, probably realized in Rolo, Emilia region, famous for this tradition in marquetry processing, it has a beautiful warm color, finished to wax and dates back to the mid-19th century.
It comes from a private house of Milan Downtown. The top bottom shows a P. G. monogram.
Great original patina, material is original of the period, with signs of wear consistent with age and use, see closed up detailed pictures attached, traces of its 170-year history.
For shipping, round top can be disassembled.
