From Italy, Lombardy a rare walnut prayer kneeler faldstool, an Italian Louis XV prayer bench with three drawers and ebonized jutting frames, dating back to the early 1700.
Fantastic example of Lombard cabinet-making, this antique Italian prie- dieu is in good age related condition. Old restorations consistent with age and use. Due to the minimal size this antique burl walnut marquetry kneeler can be placed in your bedroom or living room.
Burl walnut veneered on sides and front and solid walnut on top and faldstood, this unique piece comes from a private apartment of Milan. Lovely patina, interior lined with paper, a restored edge see closed up detail.
