Early 19th Century Italian glazed Walnut toptable theca or display case from Arezzo, Italy, Tuscany region.
Sliding opening of the back walnut panel, this rare tabletop theca stands on four turned feet, has a walnut moulding frame throughout, front and both sides have original glasses and it is topped by a fronted foliate motif crown.
Dating back to early 1800 and in good used age related condition, two foliate elements of the top crown have been replaced. A beautiful antique showcase to expose and protect a precious collectible item, as an antique sculpture.
